• SWIX BRUSHES - Are designed for brushing wax out of the structures (base patterns) in ski bases and snowboards after you have scraped. Brushes are also used before waxing to clean and open base for better wax absorption.
• NYLON BRUSH (T0161) - Firm white nylon bristles for structuring most waxes/BLUE NYLON (T0160) - Short 12mm bristles for general polishing of wax.
• HORSEHAIR BRUSH (T0157) - Anti-static final brushing of race waxes.

SWIX WAXING BRUSHES Below are brushes needed for a good wax kit. There are two options; a bigger oval brush or a smaller rectangular brush. Oval vs Rectangular: 1. Oval brushes are great for the start area especially when you have gloves on. 2. Oval brushes cover more surface area. 3. Rectangular brushes are more economical. 4. Rectangular brushes don’t take up as more space in your wax kit. 5. Both are great so it comes down to personal choice. Each brush has a fairly unique role in the waxing process: Brush Types Steel The most aggressive brush we stock. Useful when dealing with harder cold temperature waxes and when you really want to clean out old wax from the structure of your ski base. Coarse Bronze A step down in stiffness from the steel brush, the coarse bronze brush still offers deep cleansing capabilities whilst being more gentle on the base. Medium Bronze Our best selling cleaning brush. Stiff enough to get into all the grooves of the base without being overly aggressive. All Purpose Nylon If you’re on a tight budget and aren’t too concerned with a high-quality finish then this brush is for you. It’ll clean and polish reasonably well. Combi Bronze/Nylon A step up from the All Purpose Nylon brush, this combi brush features a bronze half for cleaning and a nylon half for polishing. Fine Nylon The go-to brush for polishing your base after waxing and getting a great finish to maximize glide. Horse Hair This is the brush you’ll want if you’re dealing with high-end racing waxes and pure fluoro powders.
